Hampton, VA
Boo Williams Sportsplex is a new venture developed by prominent athlete, coach and youth sports advocate Boo Williams in partnership with a group of investors and in conjunction with the city of Hampton, Virginia. The Sportsplex is a $13.5M 135,000 square foot multi-sport facility that contains eight hard wood basketball courts, a 6-lane indoor track, 4,000 spectator seats, an event operation center, a registration room and meeting room, trainers room, concession areas, restrooms, and parking places. The facility can accommodate a multitude of sports such as soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, volleyball, wrestling, track and field, martial arts and, of course, basketball. A multipurpose center with 80,415 square feet of recreation space including a 500-seat natatorium with a 50-meter indoor pool, 10 competitive scored and timed lanes, a three-meter diving board, two one-meter diving boards, and a 14-foot diving well; 200 seat gymnasium with full basketball court with volleyball capabilities, indoor walking/jogging track, stage. The center also features therapeutic and mature adult recreation areas, seven multipurpose rooms, a 100-person meeting room, two full-scale demonstration kitchens, and a 14,000 square foot covered outdoor area for basketball and special events.

Lapped by the gentle waters of the Chesapeake Bay, Buckroe Beach is one of Hampton's best kept secrets. This 3/4 mile beach is the perfect outdoor playground for sports enthusiasts and recreational beach bathers alike. During the summer months, the waterfront pavilion is home to free family movies and outdoor concerts. Amenities include picnic shelters with grills and tables, a playground, six beach volleyball courts with flexibility for additional as needed, a bike path, an outdoor shower, and kayak and paddle boat rentals. Four-legged friends will enjoy the beach's bark park (advance registration required).

Fans of the blue, silver and grey baseball help fill the 2500-capacity of Bud Metheny. Old Dominion's natural grass playing field hosts games of the Colonial Athletic Conference.

Seating 2,500 in the orchestra, dress circle, and balcony, Chrysler Hall is well suited to a multitude of events. Its main lobby and two-level grand hall can easily accommodate bistro tables as well as buffet serving tables for a complete evening of patron entertaining.
This 43-acre park is an ideal setting for family and athletic outings. Check out our walking trail through the woods. (*Due to large softball tournaments at this park, parking for shelter reservations cannot be guaranteed. Additional parking available at Tallwood Elementary School.) Amenities include: Ballfields, Multi-Purpose Field, Basketball Courts, Volleyball Court, Walking Trail, Horseshoe Pits, Playground Equipment, Picnic Shelters, Vending Machines, Diaper Changing Restrooms.
The 18 hole "Cypress Point" course at the Cypress Point Country Club facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia features 6,612 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par 72. The course rating is 71.5 and it has a slope rating of 124. Designed by Thomas E. Clark, ASGCA, the Cypress Point golf course opened in 1957. Hampton Roads Golf Clubs manages the facility, with Mike Fentress as the Director of Golf.
Hampton, VA
Darling Stadium has been home to a number of state and regional athletic competitions. This state-of-the-art stadium can accommodate archery, football, field hockey, rugby, soccer, and track and field. It features seating for 8,000 spectators, outdoor fencing, outdoor lighting, two concession stands, and is readily equipped for television and radio broadcasts.
This 50,000 square foot facility, currently under construction, will feature two gymnasiums, a dance room, multi-purpose rooms and a concession/cafe area. Opening in 2012.
Norfolk, VA
With a seating capacity of 30,000, this first-class football facility at Norfolk State University includes an 8-lane polyurethane track, computerized timers, and facilities that allow all field events to be held within the stadium. Norfolk State University also has a baseball stadium, tennis complex and softball fields.
