Believing that all children can succeed and that education can break the cycle of poverty, AAD raises the academic proficiency
and social competence of disadvantaged students through a proven Social, Academic and Moral Education curriculum.
In partnership with Newport News Public Schools and Virginia Beach Public Schools, AAD provides:
„h Extended school day and longer school year
„h Social skills curriculum in etiquette, ethics, conflict resolution, Speaking Green® (standard business English), and
healthy living
„h An environment where students pledge to remain drug-free and crime-free
Success rate: 100% on-time graduation rate, with 95% attending college and 5% entering the military
