This brand new spring event will debut on April 12, 2014 at 10:45am to help celebrate and kickoff the 2014 ODU Spring Football Game at 3PM at Foreman Field at S.B Ballard Stadium in Norfolk, Virginia.The 5K will take runners and walkers through the ODU campus and have them finish in ODU’s state-of-the-art game day home of the football Monarchs, Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium.

Location:  Bud Metheny Baseball Complex, Norfolk, VA

Event Details:

Registered participants will celebrate their finish at the Big Blue BBQ immediately after the race that will include unlimited food, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, live music, and an appearance by the ODU Men’s Basketball team. Race participants are then invited to attend the ODU Football Spring Game at 3:00PM. Registration is limited to 2000 participants.

6:00PM – ODU Baseball Game against ECU (all registered 5K runners will get in free with race number)

10:15AM – 1K start (for children 12 and under)

10:45AM – 5K start at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium

12:00PM – Big Blue BBQ

3:00 PM – ODU Football Spring Game

* A Big Blue BBQ  that includes unlimited food from Beach Bully BBQ of Virginia Beach, Sheriff McCabe of Norfolk, Virginia, and Cotton Southern Bistro of Chesapeake, Virginia, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, live music, and an appearance by the ODU Men’s Basketball team.

* The opportunity  to watch the ODU Monarch’s play their Spring game right on Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium.
