Hampton Roads Sports Commission Year in Review

2017 Corporate Challenge
Over 60 companies competed in nine different sports for bragging rights, awards, and charitable donations at the 2nd Annual Hampton Roads Corporate Challenge. The event combined health and wellness, team building, friendly competition, networking and fun all in one! The event was able to collect over 2,500 items/dollars for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia!

2017 Hero Games

The Hampton Roads Hero Games presented by Endurance IT Services took place October 20th - November 5th throughout the cities of Chesapeake and Virginia Beach! First responders competed in five different sporting events during this three week period, trying to accumulate points and win trophies for their city/department!
Congratulations to the top three departments that were crowned the overall champions of the Hampton Roads Hero Games:

1st Place: Norfolk Police Department
2nd Place: Norfolk Sheriff's Office
3rd Place: Chesapeake Police Department

Sports Awards
The Hampton Roads Sports Awards honoring the local sports industry had over 150 people attend the dinner, representing 40 different organizations. Awards were given out to sport organizations, facilities, writers/reporters, collegiate and high school teams, and affiliates!
Thank you so much to all the 2017 Hampton Roads Sports Awards attendees! We would also like to extend a special congratulations to our winning sports organizations, individuals, facilities, events and teams!

2017 Ladies' Day to Play
17 all-women teams participated in our 3rd Annual Ladies' Day to Play Golf Tournament at Cypress Point Golf Course in Virginia Beach! Thank you to all the ladies who participated and to the vendors and sponsors who have been great supporters of the event!
