Support Your Local Heroes in a Fun and Exciting Way
Support Your Local Heroes in a Fun and Exciting Way

In Hampton Roads whenever there is a fire, medical emergency, or unlawful act our first responders are there to protect us. They carry out their jobs not asking for recognition, but we at the Hampton Roads Sports Commission would like to pay tribute to those who sacrifice their lives to make our home a better and safer place. The 2016 Hero Games were created as a celebration of first responders and also as a thank you for everything they do.

The eight (8) different sporting events will take place October 5th-8th in Chesapeake, Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Current law enforcement, fire, EMS employees, retirees, and their families will come from as far north as Williamsburg and as far south as Isle of White. Sports include a 5K and 1 mile kid’s run, cornhole, tug-of-war, crossfit, golf, pistol challenge, firefighter challenge, and volleyball. The Hero Games will be a spectacle that you won’t want to miss!

There are several ways to get involved with this one-of-a-kind event! How great would it be for your company to be associated with the heroes of our region and show your support of these courageous men and women that stand before us each day? Sponsorship opportunities range from $250 - $6,000 and if your company sponsors the first annual Hero Games, a portion of every sponsorship will go directly toward entry fees for the first responders of your choice. Now, your business gets to be the hero for them! Another way is to be a vendor and show your support through promotional giveaways, coming on site to some of the events and cheering on the participants. Not everyone can save someone from a burning building or stop an active shooter, but they can support and help celebrate those who answer the call.
