VWC softball gets No. 3 seed in NCAA regional

VIRGINIA BEACH
Virginia Wesleyan earned a No. 3 seed in the eight-team regional at Montclair (N.J.) State in the NCAA Division III softball tournament. The field was announced Monday.
The Marlins (38-6), ODAC tournament champions, open at 3 p.m. Thursday against sixth-seeded Roger Williams University (23-18) of Bristol, R.I.
The double-elimination regional continues through Sunday.
