Norfolk State's Ward is leading the way in batting

NORFOLK
Haley Ward, a sophomore outfielder for the Norfolk State softball team, took over the national lead in batting this week.
The Cox grad entered the week batting .504. She also ranks second in the nation in doubles per game (0.49), seventh in triples (0.14), 14th in slugging percentage (.857), 17th in RBIs (1.14), 21st in runs (1.06) and 23rd in on-base percentage (.531).
