The Hampton Roads Sports Commission partnered with the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the American Red Cross to create a charity challenge. Companies were able to donate food or make monetary donations to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia. Companies who donated earned an extra 100 points towards their overall total score! With the American Red Cross, companies could earn additional points by donating or attempting to donate blood. Each person that donated blood earned an extra 10 points toward their company’s overall total.
Through the generous donations of our Corporate Challenge participants, we served 4,894 meals in the Hampton Roads Community and saved 108 lives. Since incorporating the Charity Challenge into the Corporate Challenge three years ago, we have saved over 250 lives and served more than 16,000 meals in Hampton Roads!
We would like to thank all the companies who sponsored and competed in this year’s Corporate Challenge! We appreciate all of your support and this event would not be such a success without you!
