Sports commission

The Hampton Roads Sports Commission, an affiliate of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, made the following announcements:

Gibson Eppler has been named development manager, responsible for private sector memberships and event sponsorship sales. She is a graduate of the College of William and Mary where she received a bachelor of science with a concentration in biology. She worked in the Washington, D.C., metro region, as a sales representative, returning to Hampton Roads in 2009.

Chelsea Dennis has been named executive assistant. A native of Michigan, she has a bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University in aviation with a minor in business. She's spent the past 10 years as a corporate contract pilot.
