NORFOLK, Va. (October 7, 2020) – One of Hampton Roads’ most recognizable sports media figures and one of the newest members of its head coaching fraternity headline the next two October editions of SportsTalk 757, presented by the Hampton Roads Sports Commission.
Bruce Rader, sports director of WAVY-TV 10 and Fox 43, will be the featured guest on the Thursday, Oct. 15 edition of the web series hosted by HRSC Executive Director Claudell Clark. Rader, who has served in his role for more than 40 years, will offer his thoughts on the future of sports in Hampton Roads and share exploits from his hall of fame career.
A 2021 inductee into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame, Rader has covered seminal sports moments ranging from Super Bowls to Final Fours, the Daytona 500 and many more during his storied career.
Ricky Rahne, the first-year head football coach of the Old Dominion University Monarchs, will be Clark’s guest on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 9:45 a.m. Rahne assumed his current post after serving as offensive coordinator at Penn State University. Previously, the former Cornell quarterback also held coaching positions at Vanderbilt, Kansas State, Holy Cross and his alma mater.
Rahne will discuss his transition to Hampton Roads, coaching college football during the pandemic, his coaching and recruiting philosophies, and more.
